Negritos - the morning after

Waking up after a windy night in our tents, cooking coffee and prepare to leave. As we packed our stuff onto our bikes, I noticed a loss of air of the rear tire at the other bike, the Suzuki V-Strom. Conclusion: After 200km, two bikes are not able to continue. Questions like "How's this going to end up?", "Why did we think we can cross all Perú without knowledge of a mechanic? Without knowing the bikes for more than a few days?"

Fortunately the bikes were still able to move a little, so we rode to Negritos, just one or two kilometers to find a mechanic there. People told us that there's one called Wil and gave us direcitons. After looking for Wil for almost one hour we decided to pay a mototaxi to show us the way. During this time, Mathias with the bike with problems with the clutch was waiting, as Negritos is acity at small hill, which made it difficult for him to climb without power.
Anyway, the mototaxi, sometimes also called tuc-tuc, led us to Wil. Wil is a guy in his fourties, owning a small room filled with mechanic essentials. He normally fixes small motorcycles until 125ccm or mototaxis. We haven't seen bigger bikes than 200ccm until now, so people are fascinated by our bikes and want to help us and take photos :)

After another hour, but still not midday, Wil fixed the tire of Stephan and readjusted the clutch cable for Mathias, which should make it possible to arrive in Lima and let the clutch replaced there.

We were totally happy, and continued our route on the Panamericana, direction Piura.

That was the day of the bad streets. Lot of time we could just go about 20km/h as there wasn't any street at all. That wasn't probably the best route to go to the south. Anyway, arrived in Sullana, about 100km after Negritos we decided to spend one night there in a hostel.

Surprisingly fast we found a hostel with garage, so we decided to stay there for 75 Soles for three persons per night, which is about 25 dollars. In the evening we went to the city by mototaxi for dinner, few beers and organizing food and drinks for the next days and nights.

Route done today, about 100km:
