There were already lots of people there waiting for migration. So we, full of hope, patience and also little bit nervous for our trip, queued the line for migraion and waited.

After more than four hours we made it and were officially migrated to Perú but that's not all... Next step was migrating three motorcycles which are not from Ecuador and from which the original owner isn't us. Most people working there didn't want to accept our situation, but finally, after about three hours of discussing of my patient girlfriend with the boss of the boss of the boss..., they gave us the papers to enter Perú. Gracias mi amor!

It was already late and getting dark when we rode down our first meters into the unknown territorities of this country.
Arrived in Tumbes, a city totally in the north of Perú with around 100'000 inhabitants, we decided to look for a place to sleep, even if we just rode about 20 kilometers. Driving at night in Latin America isn't really safe and by motorcycle not any better. We stopped at a gas station and tried to cummunicate in Spanish with the owner of the shop, a nice old lady, if she knows a hostel or a place where we could put our tents and camp. First time in this country, we already experienced the lovely and helpful mentality of Perú.

She also has a big parking for trucks behind her gas station and told us we can place our tents there, and that she also wants to give us a shower in the morning. In the time were talking with her about our night, her neighbour offered us dinner in his little restaurant. After setting up our tents and changing the clothes, we had dinner and a few beers in her 'tienda' at the gas station and went to bed early.
